Portables Outselling Consoles in Japan
Filed in archive Portable Devices on August 21, 2006
In an interesting article, Mimi Ito brings us news from Japan that portable game devices outsold gaming consoles in the country this time for the first time. The Nintendo DS has helped push that stat over the top, having sold 10 million units in Japan alone. With new features just now coming online for the DS such as the Opera browser and mobile TV, the DS is only likely to get hotter. A plethora of unique and innovative games like Brain Age and Electroplankton have expanded the appeal of the device as well.

Some days ago we were dining out with my sister and my nephews when one of them took out a device I hadn't seen before. It turned out it was a portable gaming console. For the first time in my life I was jealous of a kid!!!:) So very soon I am planning to buy one. It's such a fun and having in mind that I travel a lot - it would be of use to me:)
