In the same way that Flickr has allowed budding citizen journalists to upload nearly real-time stills of scenes captured from cameraphones, YouTube will now bring mobile video capture to the Web lickety-split and create additional momentum behind real-time, anywhere documentary.
Oh yeah, and watch out for that staggering data bill.

Well, using mobile phones to upload pictures and videos is one thing...but to view these and more directly on your phone is another! I read a blog which talks about such technology whereby if I create a tag for my content and pass around the generated barcode, u can directly see my content on your phone by simply taking a picture of the barcode! It's so fascinating!!

Privately held YouTube is one of the fastest-growing Web sites and among dozens of companies that have begun offering Internet video over the past year. Based in San Mateo, Calif., YouTube says it sees 12 million unique visitors and averages about 1.2 billion viewings per month. While this new mobile service is free, analysts are waiting to see how the company will cash in on all that traffic.

Well thats a great news but in most parts of the world, internet speed on mobiles is not that much ideal to upload a video. I guess u will have to wait at least for 4-5 hours to uploada 5 minute video.
