If you're dying to know the hottest mobile trends this year, chances are you're already familiar with most of them. Then again, it's a great validation if it comes from an expert in this industry.

Good thing Forbes.com was able to snatch the 8 mobile trends predicted by Christian Lindholm, a 10-year veteran of Nokia and currently the head of London-based design consultancy fjord.

Most of the insights are familiar to avid observers of mobile technology. These include GPS being the next killer mobile app, mobile Internet will expand the market, low-end phones rising and computers morphing to mobile phones. Still, I like to highlight trend no. 5 - 2008 Will Be The Year Of Bad Touch Screens.

In short, the iPhone-nization will continue for each handset manufacturer is dying to imitate the touch screen technology and exceed its limitations today.
