Textually has word of plans by the Russian government to introduce an authentication service for Vodka.
By sending the Serial number of the bottle to a designated short code, they will get a response by SMS certifying (or not) the product.Counterfeit Vodka is a huge problem in Russia, hence initiatives like this one. Of course, if you could send an SMS and have Vodka arrive...
The project is an initiative by State run Rosspirtprom, the company responsible for the sale of 60% of strong alcohol in the country and distributor of the top brands.

Actually, it's a good service, since there are many cases people got poisoned by bad unlicensed vodka over there.
