Vodafone to Offer User Generated Video Sale

Filed in archive Mobile Content by tom on January 28, 2007

According to a story on MocoNews, Vodafone are planning on introducing a user generated mobile video offering similar to 3's See Me service, allowing customers to upload mobile video which is then made available for sale to other users, with the original producer receiving a cut of the generated revenue.
The videos will be uploaded via MMS or WAP, and viewed on mobile phone or computer. Vodafone will also offer a search function for the video.
There are also a number of other services which allow users to upload and share photos and videos free, although I can see the allure of getting paid when people download you movies.
