Vodafone Gets Back on the Plane to Japan
No sooner had Vodafone rid itself of being a full-blown carrier in Japan and sold its business to SoftBank, it has now turned around and established a JV with the Japanese Internet company. According to reports in the Independent, Vodafone and Softbank will set the company up this summer and the global carrier will use the business to keep a hand in Japan and learn from the world-leading innovations that Japan is known for in the mobile market. It plans to export these concepts and technologies to its other markets.
