In business one of the first lessons you learn is that competition is good for the consumer. Here in the wireless industry, the proof is in the pudding. Price wars between rivals AT&T & Verizon Wireless mean better deals on service for the American market.
Starting immediately, consumers can purchase unlimited talk time to anyone in the U.S. with Verizon for $70 a month and unlimited talk and text for $90.
Verizon Wireless is also reducing the price of its family share plans. However, and confirming some long-standing rumors, they are making a $10/ month data plan mandatory for all high-speed 3G customers.
AT&T, in the meantime is responding with unlimited voice and data plans for smartphones dropping anywhere from $30 to $100 a month.

So Verizon is offering unlimited talk and text for $90 a month. Why would Verizon think this price is even marginally competitive? For example, I have Straight Talk prepaid with unlimited talk, text AND WEB for $45 a month. I just don't get what Verizon and AT&T are doing. If they're going to lower rates, then lower them.

as recommended, and now i can call on both verizon and ATT.
It would be perfect if they both lowered their prices. Everyone will benefit. :)
