T-Mobile Releases Updated MyTouch

In the fast and furious touch-screen smartphone market, T-Mobile's realizing updates have to come often to maintain the edge. In that line of thinking, the company has released a new version of the MyTouch 3G, with such new features as a 3.5mm jack for headphones, Swype texting for faster typing and more memory.

The new MyTouch will boast 288MB of memory, preloaded with applications like a barcode scanner, music player and visual voicemail.

Running on Android, the new MyTouch shares the same popular Google services as the original, including Google Search by voice, Google Maps Street View, YouTube and Picasa.

The new unit will retail for $150 with a two-year contract.

T-Mobile is lacking behind others in touch screen smartphone market. Even the updates of their new smartphones is not up to the mark when comes to comparing with the best.

They desperately have to think out of the box or will lose further share in smartphone market.
