T-Mobile: Mobile Internet for £1 a day

T-Mobile: Mobile Internet for £1 a day

OK, the sporadic posting's having an effect, and I totally missed this announcement from T-Mobile: they have announced a new tariff for mobile internet browsing, setting the rate at a flat fee of £1 per day regardless of the amount of data used. The Web'n'Walk service, which costs around a penny a megabyte, is now cost-capped at £1, and all data usage above the cap is zero-rated.

Of course, for such a potentially useful and cheap service, there are limitation. At present, the service is only available for customers with the Motorola v3 RAZR and Nokia 6131, and certain services, like Voice Over IP and connecting your laptop, are espressly excluded.

T-Mobile also promise support for more handsets before christmas. Does this means we'll finally see cheap data services in the UK?

Well, I don’t think so, cause of this service can’t be as quality as I need. Just $1 for a day… it makes one laugh.
