MESSMO

To start with the basics, messmo is a Mobile Application, which uses the Mobile Internet/GPRS to send/receive sms with or without attachments.

Described below are the details on how to use messmo and the various services provided by messmo.

• First of all make sure that your phone has Mobile Internet/GPRS. Activate the GPRS settings on your handset. You can contact your network operator for GPRS activation.

• Once the GPRS is activated, access the mobile web browser and access the following URL to download messmo http://messmo.mobi


• Follow the download instructions on messmo.mobi and you will be able to successfully install messmo. Now activate messmo and you are ready to send/receive sms and use the services of messmo.


Send SMS with/without Attachment:
Inorder to Send a SMS Select ‘Send’ enter the mobile number in the ‘Phone Number’ field. Write the message that you need to send in the ‘Message’ field. Hit ‘Send’ and the message will be sent. You can also send an attachment message, inorder to attach a file select Options >> Attachment. Select the file that you need to send and Hit the ’Send’ option, the message with attachment will be sent successfully.
[Please Note: You can send only 1 attachment with a message.]

Receive Message:
Click on the ‘Inbox’ option to view and read the message. If the message contains a attachment, When reading the message you get a option named ‘Get File’ select ‘Get File’ and messmo will receive the attachment from the server. You can then click ‘View’ and view the image or select ‘Play’ if it is an audio file. You can save the file through the ‘Save As’ option.
[Note: If the file is not a image or audio file you will not get the ‘View’ or ‘Play’ option. Messmo will receive the file from the server and prompt you to save the file.]


1800Friendcast:
Friendcast is a very valuable feature to communicate in groups. You can create your own channel and invite your friends to subscribe to the channel. Once your friends are subscribed to the channel you can then start communicating in groups. You can send a message to the group through 1800Channel Number and all your friends subscribed to the channel will receive the message. They can also reply to the 1800Channel Number and the entire group will receive the message.

The following are the commands to use the 1800 Friendcast.
1. Add a channel. To: 1800 Message: Add Channel 123456 [Note the channel number can be any number between 6-9 digits]
2. You will receive a confirmation with the ‘channel created successfully’ message. Hit ‘Reply’ and say ‘Invite mobile1 mobile2 mobile3’ and hit ‘Send’
3. Your friends will receive the invitation, they can just say ‘Reply’ and say ‘ON’, hit ‘Send’. They will receive the confirmation message from the channel saying, ‘You have successfully subscribed to the channel’.
4. Now you can start sending and receiving messages in-group using the channel. You can send a message To: 1800Channel Number Message: type your message here
Eg: To: 1800123456 Message: Hi all. Welcome to my channel [You can also attach a file if required].
5. Similarly your friends in the group can send the message by following Step 4.


1900FBOOK:
1900FBOOK is your Mobile Gateway to Facebook. You can connect to facebook and manage the following:
• Change your status
• Message your friends
• Upload photos
• Post to your wall
• Post to your friends wall

Inorder to manage the facebook you will first need to login to your fbook account. Refer the following commands to connect and manage your facebook through messmo.
1. Inorder to login to your facebook account send the message as:
Syntax: To: 190032665 Message: ON
Eg: To: 190032665 Message: ON madraswala.samina@gmal.com
You will receive a confirmation from 1900FBOOK ‘subscribed successfully to your fbook account’.

2. To change the status you can send the message as:
Syntax: To: 190032665 Message: STATUS
Eg: To: 190032665 Message: Status Busy testing messmo

3. To upload a photo you can send a message as:
Syntax: To: 190032665 Message: UPLOAD [Attachment file]
Eg: To: 190032665 Message: UPLOAD test image [Attachment file]

4. To send a message to your friend’s facebook:
Syntax: To: 190032665 Message: message you want to send.
Eg: To: 190032665 Message: Messmo txt Hi there, How are you?

5. To send a message to your friend’s wall:
Syntax: To: 190032665 Message: WALLFRD wall msg to be sent
Eg: To: 190032665 Message: WALLFRD Messmo Txt Hi there, writing a msg to your wall


1900EMAIL:
With messmo you can send emails through your mobile through the 1900EMAIL feature. You can follow the steps below
1. After Connecting to messmo on your mobile phone select Options from the main menu
2. Enter a PIN code into the InMail PIN box (at least 4, but no more than 6 digits)
3. Enter your normal email details into the Email Address box and make sure that you, Save changes.

Click on 'Send' from the main screen.
Syntax: To: 190036245 Message: message you want to send [Attachment if any]
Eg: To: 190036245 Message: messmotest@gmail.com Hi there, how are you. [Attachment if any]

The receiver can also send a reply to your mobile number. He can either ‘Reply’ and answer your mail and you will receive his mail on your Mobile, Messmo – Inbox.
OR
He can ‘Compose’ a new mail from the mail client, write the message and send it:
Syntax: To: 91mobilenumber.InMailPinNo@txt.messmo.com
Eg: To: 919850512552.3636@txt.messmo.com


1900Publisher:
The 1900Publisher is also called as Micro Publisher. This is an interface, which is controlled through web. The user can create a channel on the Publisher page and Invite his friends or a group to subscribe to his channel through Messmo on their mobile. Refer the following URL to access the Publisher page:
http://messmo.com/Publisher

You can create a channel through the ‘Get Started’ button on the Publisher page. Once you create a channel you can then login to it and manage the channel and send invitation to your friends/group to subscribe to the channel. You can then start sending message, by typing the message in the Message Area and click on ‘Send Txt’ button. Once you click on ‘Send Txt’ all the subscribers of the channel will receive the message and attachment if any. To keep track of the messages sent, the owner can view the ‘History Table’ [on top of the page] to view the sent messages. The owner can also add ‘Tag’ and associate the tag with the messages he sends, so that an user can send a ‘Find’ request with the tag and the Publisher will return him top 3 messages associated with the ‘Tag’ the user had requested. Following is the syntax to send a ‘Find’ request from messmo client.
Syntax: To: 1900ChannelNumber Message: FIND Tag1 Tag2 Tag3
Eg: To: 19008378464222 Message: FIND India Pakistan Hongkong

[Note: With the 1900Publisher the creator of the channel can send message from the Publisher page or from his mobile number through which he has registered on the Publisher page. The subscribers can only send a ‘FIND’ request with tags or ‘HELP’ request. Subscribers cannot send any other message to the Publisher or other subscribers of the 1900Channel.]

Following is the syntax through which the owner of the channel can send a message to the subscribers through messmo from his mobile.
Syntax: To: 1900ChannelNumber Message: any message he needs to send [Attachment if any]
Eg: To: 19008378464222 Message: India won the match against Australia [Attachment if any]

DelayedTxtMessage:
‘DelayedTxtMessage’ is a checkbox on the Publisher Channel interface. If the owner of the channel does not want to send a message to any of the subscribers, and simply need to save the message associating a tag to it, he can compose the message through the message area, enable the ‘DelayedTxtMessage’ checkbox and then click the ‘Send Txt’ button. By this the message will simply get stored in the ‘History Table’ on top of the page and will not be sent to anyone. This option is helpful if the owner has sent a message to the subscribers without associating a tag and at a later stage if he needs to associate a tag to the same message he can compose the same message associate the tag with it, check ‘DelayedTxtMessage’ and hit ‘Send Txt’.

MySpace/Facebook:
You can send a Blog to your myspace account through the 1900Publisher channel. All you need to do is Login to your Publisher page through web, Compose a txt, Click on the MySpace icon or Facebook icon >> login to it and Post the message. You can view your message under your MySpace Blog. Similarly if you post the message through Facebook icon, the message will appear on your facebook account.

[Note: Attachments will not be sent to MySpace or facebook account, even if you attach any file.]
