T-Mobile And Sony Ericsson Announce the TM506

T-Mobile and Sony Ericsson have announced release of the TM506: A new slim clamshell phone specifically designed for web surfing. The unit offers up an outer display with caller ID. Users can capture photos or video clips with an internal 2.0-megapixel camera with My Album, slide show and video blogging capabilities. Music lovers can store tracks and share music through the removable Memory Stick Micro (M2). Stereo Bluetooth connectivity allows handsfree calls and music streaming.

The TM506 will offer 3G download speeds for faster access to media and content viewing. Customizable web feeds will allow users to keep up on news, weather, and sports. A built-in GPS with Telenav lets travelers know their location. Customers can send pictures, videos, IM notes and email to their contacts.

The sony ericsson tm506 will be available in early September at T-Mobile stores and online (price not yet announced).
