Start Mobile Launches 60-second Music Service
Start Mobile, perhaps better known for being providers of mobile artwork, have launched a new music service called M60.
"In response to the ten second clips that are being sold as ringtones for two or even three times the price of the full songs, START MOBILE created the M60 - mobile sixty second songs delivered directly to consumers' cell phones + mobile devices", according to John Doffing, founder of START MOBILE. "And to launch the world's first M60s, we are making HUNDREDS of them available for FREE for sixty days."

For decades, 3 1/2 minute pop songs were the norm, owing largely to the capacity of the 45 rpm single. M60s capitalize upon new technologies, and allow independent musicians to DIRECTLY reach consumers via the two BILLION cell phones currently in use worldwide.

"START MOBILE's M60s provide unprecedented variety and flexibility for mobile music consumers", according to Nihal Mehta, CEO of IPSH!, whose technology powers the delivery of START MOBILE content. "By empowering independent musicians to actually CREATE new music for the mobile medium, START MOBILE just invented the cell phone single!"
The M60 service is currently in trial mode, and songs will be available free for the next two months.
