Sprint Introduces Paying Referral Program

After posting about the 4th largest domestic wireless carrier, T-Mobile's tactics to increase their customer base, Sprint follows up with a technique of their own.

The nation's third-largest wireless carrier said it will reward existing customers with a $100 referral payment for each new subscriber they bring to the carrier.

The Overland Park, Kan.-based company said existing customers can go to the website and enter the names and email addresses of up to 12 friends. Yes, that's $1200 in case you lost count. Sprint, in turn, will reward both the new subscriber and the member who referred them.

Sure it all sounds good but you'll probably be paid in worthless bill credits right? Wrong. Sprint will be shelling out Visa Debit cards for your trouble ($100 per referral and $25 per new customer).
