We would like to welcome the mobile coupon service Cellfire, which has graciously joined the Wireless Weblog as a sponsor. As Om Malik noted recently, Cellfire is "a very interesting opt-in solution that provides consumers with useful discounts on products and services that they buy today."

The concept is simple: sign up for free, and coupons are automatically downloaded onto your phone. Currently, Cellfire's available coupons include discounts at Boston Market, Finish Line, Hollywood Video, The Sharper Image, Supercuts, 1-800-Flowers, North Beach Pizza, Pizz'a Chicago and Red Rock Coffee.

And as noted on the Cellfire Blog, for each retailer on Cellfire, you can instantly view that retailer's two or three closest store locations near your zip code.

The service is currently only available for Motorola, Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones from Cingular Wireless, but new phones and carriers are coming soon.

The ease of use of Cellfire is a key benefit: "It's an application that you download to your phone and coupons are then pushed to you on a near daily basis," he writes. "This makes it extremely fast and convenient for you to browse and redeem coupons."
