To use the service you have to purchase a keycode using your own (or someone else's) mobile phone. The keyword will cost you £1.50, and give you access to the anonymous sending service. The company records the originating mobile number (the one used to buy the keycode), along with all the details of the message being sent.

Okaaay...
I can send a text message anonymously for £1.50.
I guess that's good. But how is that better than sending a text message from one of the many free sms providers, for free?
Admittedly, some of these services force you to register, so you lose your anonymity, but quite a lot don't; e.g. www.cbfsms.com
And okay you might not be able to pretend your text is coming from your brother or your boss, but is that *really* worth paying £1.50 for?
Sorry, I don't get it.
Why isn't someone combining "free sms" with "anonymous texting" and coming up with a service that costs 12p?
*That* would be newsworthy, to me.
I am more than happy for someone to explain why a £1.50 anonymous texting service is smart. Please do. Please educate me. I promise to pay attention! :)
(Note: I also read this first at SMS Text NEWS, and I would have posted *this* there, but he didn't make it easy for me to do so in his newsletter (did he?), so I didn't. Yeah, I think I must have got out the bed the wrong side, today! LOL.)

Why exactly would I want to pay £1.50/$3.00 for a text when websites like hoaxMail (http://www.hoaxmail.co.uk)
do it for around £0.09/$0.18?

CloakText.co.uk provide a unique anonymous text service, enabling you to send anonymous sms straight from your phone - no need to register or use a PC at all! It's also cheaper than most of the competition, at just £1.00 per text.

Now there is a new service from http://www.lazme.co.uk
which allows you to send anonymous texts for only 9p from their website once you are registered.
Also you can schedule message delivery.
