Verizon Wireless today announced a new smartphone for business users from Samsung: The Saga. It features a 2.55-inch full touch screen in addition to a QWERTY keyboard.

The Saga keeps users connected to their offices with email, text and instant messages. Additionally it's equipped with quad-band capability, optical mouse navigation, Wi-Fi access (802.11 b/g), Opera mobile browser all under the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system

Windows Mobile includes Microsoft Office Mobile Suite so users can create and edit Word and Excel documents and view PowerPoint documents, Microsoft active sync 4.5 and Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista.

Knowing that it's not an all work and no-play world, the Saga comes with a 2.0-megapixel camera with NightShot, microSD card slot for up to 16GB of external memory (sold separately), and Bluetooth stereo headset support.

The Saga is available online now and hits stores Dec 1.
