samsung has finalized plans to get on board with Google's much publicized mobile operation system, Android.
The world's second-largest mobile phone maker said it will begin producing and selling more than three phone models running Google's open-source platform by the end of the year. This news comes after late last year when Taiwan phone maker, HTC, launched the G1, the first smartphone to use Google's operating system, on the T-Mobile network.
At present, Android struggles to make an impact on a market currently dominated by Microsoft's Windows Mobile, Nokia's Symbian, iPhone OS and Blackberry OS.
