Plastic-free Handset

Also coming to us via Uberphones is the Bellperre range of handsets. The major difference with these handsets is the aim of the company to produce them entirely without plastic.

These cellphones will be made from leather, steel, gold, hardwood, sapphire, and other fine material, and Bellperre claims that not using plastic will not affect the weight of the handset negatively. Each Bellperre cellphone comes with a large piece of sapphire crystal that is famous for its scratch-resistant properties and is used mostly in luxury watches. There will be a wide range of colors and finishes to choose from - your purchase is limited by your imagination and wallet.

Of course, if the handset didn't look so blocky perhaps it'd be a little more interesting, at least to my eyes.
