When you really stop to think about it, the year 2009 really sounds advanced doesn't it? Those of us old enough to remember the 1970s and 80s, thoughts of the year 2009 usually inspired flying cars, video phones, and civilian space travel. We may not have advanced to the point of The Jetsons just yet, but Phenom Communications Inc. has developed one product that fits in pretty well with the fantasies mentioned above.
The Phenom Watch Phone is an unlocked GSM mobile phone, an MP3 and MP4 player, a digital still and video camera, and a wristwatch all in one! It features a 2GB memory, a touchscreen, built-in Bluetooh, USB port and speaker phone abilities but it wouldn't be much of a watch if it failed to deliver on its main function of telling the time.
Best of all, this gadget is designed to work on any carrier worldwide and will come in a variety of styles/ feature sets (the SpecialOPS version, for example, will contain a full keypad located on the watch band).
The Phenom Watch Phone is available now through the company's website and starts at a very reasonable $195. So we may not have flying cars in 2009, at least I'll feel better once people start talking into their wrists.
