Mobile Internet
by leo on February 4, 2008

What would you do if you're trapped in a heavy traffic and forgot to email your career-changing powerpoint presentation stored in a desktop PC at your house? Or left the sleazy porn movie playing because you're in a rush?
Thanks to mobile Internet you can now remotely control your PC using your mobile phone. A newcomer in this emerging market is PC Mobilzr which is compatible with Windows Mobile Devices and Color BlackBerry Devices.
The developer claims this new remote desktop app is very easy to install and requires no technical expertise whatsoever. You simply need to know your computer's network address even if it's located behind a router or corporate firewall. Just connect using your username and password and you can control its keyboard and mouse. In case you're worried about security, the data transferred are all encrypted.
Another claim is it "provides intelligent scaling and panning in order to make a large screen fit on your mobile device." The bad news is you have to pay $9.50 per month to avail this service. The consolation is it offers a 30-day free trial.
Then again, you can always try a free version courtesy of VNC Enterprise Edition for Windows Mobile OS.

Soonr might be a better choice here, because it seems to do much the same thing and it's free to boot.

Soonr only gives you access to files. PCMobilizr lets you see the screen of your computer and control the mouse and keyboard.
