You can use your mobile phone to securely send money and make payments within the U.S. and Canada. To use PayPal mobile, you must activate your mobile phone. Activating your phone requires setting a secure mobile PIN and confirming phone ownership. The service is also available in the UK (you will need to be logged in to PayPal to view this page), potentially allowing any of the 10 million or so registered PayPal users to send payments via their mobile.
You can send your payment either through text message to the PayPal mobile short code 729725 (PAYPAL) or by calling the automated voice system at 1-800-4PAYPAL. You can also purchase items using Text to Buy or make donations using Text to Give.
Also included is support for Text2Buy, a service that lets you buy items using your mobile simply by texting a product code to PayPal's shortcode.

Paypal Mobile is cool for peer-to-peer. Check out www.ccfone.com as a comparison that sticks to credit card acceptance on the mobile.

Hi...
Just wanted to let you know of a cool service called Frucall; the first voice-enabled comparison shopping service that allows consumers to compare retail store prices with prices online, directly from their mobile phone. It’s a quick and easy solution that sidelines many of the traditional sites that only offer comparison shopping while online. Better yet, is that consumers can soon purchase products directly from their mobile phone.
The way it works is simple. For consumers who are at a retail store browsing for products; all they have to do is dial 1-888-DO-FRUCALL, enter in the bar code; and wait a few seconds for the results. Not to mention that the service is free so it’s obviously a no brainer.
If you want to chat more about Frucall or how the service works, I would be more than happy to put you in touch with the right person.
Take Care,
Michael Brito

BOOOOO! PayPal dumps wireless site with PayPay Mobile
Paypal SMS mobile may be of interest to some of there market but Paypal missed the boat by removing there Paypal wireless site!
These idiots should be boycotted!
There is a large amount of Cingular BlackBerry customers that pay $45 dollars a month for unlimited BlackBerryConnect data plan to utilize the BlackBerry internet browser.
This mobile browser format was by FAR a much better application to view and manage your Paypal account than any SMS service ever will be!
Paypal basically just lost all of my mobile business because of this change over!
If Paypal is listing to there customers they will replace a full integrated mobile wireless site for there customers to fully manage there Paypal accounts.
Keep the SMS version for those kiddies that want to use it fine but don't limited the rest of your customer base that want to utilize the original mobile web browser site!!!
It was secure before where you had to have access to the account password so what is the big deal?!
The big deal I believe is Paypal is trying to market to the younger generation that don't have credit cards to get them to make impulse purchases over there prepaid cell phones!
But they over looked the true mobile business uses out here that demand a non-SMS mobile portal via the BlackBerry browser!
What next is EBay going to drop there mobile site!???
Paypal ARE YOU LISTENING ?
YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO RESTORE A WIRELESS PAYPAL SITE ASAP!
YOU MESSING WITH MY BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES!
DAM YOU PAYPAL!
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!
