Orange UK Planning 2000 Job Cuts

Orange UK Planning 2000 Job Cuts

According to a story on the BBC's website this afternoon, Orange is planning to cut up to 2,000 jobs in the UK.

The French-owned firm said it wanted to reduce its costs by 15% as it adapts to "customer needs in an increasingly competitive environment".

Chief executive Bernard Ghillebaert said that employees "would be treated with Dignity and respect consistent with our values".

Full details of where the cuts will fall will be announced in September.

Orange is owned by France Telecom, which announced earlier this year it had plans to cut up to 17,000 jobs.

Thanks for highlighting cuts in Orange jobs. The good news is that I have a job board that is focussed on the mobile telecom and wireless communications sector and we have hundreds of industry jobs. Corporates are posting directly, like Vodafone, Blackberry and Plantronics, as well as mainstream recruitment agencies. IT’s worth regsitering with us and uploading your CV if you are lokking for a telecom job in the UK, or internationally whether it be in software enginieering, networks, systems, design, field maintenance, testing, quality, sales, marketing, business analysts, or business development.
I hope we can help if you are looking for work.
Good luck with the job search.

    Graham
