O2 Tops 250,000 i-mode Subscribers
O2 has announced that they signed up more than 250,000 i-mode susbcribers in the 6 months after the launch in October last year. Graham Riddel, head of content marketing at O2 said that the UK's i-mode service was the fastest growing outside of Japan. However, he also said that O2's subscriber numbers would have been much higher had the operator managedlinks to purchase enough i-mode handsets at launch, which caused the company to miss the key Christmas period.

The carrier has also announced that both the Motorola L6 and L7 i-mode phones will be added to the portfolio in the next few weeks.
