on my way to work this morning, about O2's website security being bypassed, allowing viewing of arbitrary customer data. The original story seems to have originated with Scotland's Daily Record:A RECORD reader told last night how he uncovered a massive security glitch with mobile phone company O2.O2 have since removed the web pages that were apparently causing the problem.
John Lancaster found he could retrieve private details of O2 customers through the firm's website.
The glitch meant accounts, addresses and bills could be easily accessed, putting millions of mobile users at the mercy of hackers.
