
Mobile phone manufacturer Nokia has acquired social media sharing site, Twango, for $96.8 million.
This acquisition will help to seamlessly facilitate sharing of content between mobile devices and desktops. According to their press release:
"The Twango acquisition is a concrete step towards our consumer Internet services vision of providing seamless access to information, entertainment, and social networks – at any time, anywhere, from any connected device, in any way that you choose. We have the most complete suite of connected multimedia experiences including music, navigation, games, and – with the Twango acquisition – photos, videos, and a variety of document types," said Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Multimedia, nokia.
Recently Nokia has introduced a new company structure to improve speed to market and ensure greater effectiveness.

Interesting enough step from the company. It is possible to assume that not only Noki but also other manufacturers of mobile phones are interested in development the Internet of portals such as Twango. Now Nokia will have advantage before other manufacturers offering a full spectrum of multimedia services which so is necessary for all owners of phones.
