Nokia 5230 Nuron Quietly Impressing T-Mobile Users

Released for T-Mobile, the Nokia 5230 Nuron is one of those smartphones that continues to earn accolades within the media despite a nice affordable entry cost (free in many cases, with service).

Appealing to users on the go, the Nuron comes with apps and maps with turn-by-turn directions and free Ovi Map navigation software. Users can browse the Web on its large 3.2-inch touch screen display with vivid 16.7 million colors or browse Lonely Planet guides to find new places to eat, concerts, movies and more.

Other useful features include the weather forecast and the ability to share your current location on Facebook (talk about never being alone). With pedestrian navigation, the Nuron shows the best routes as well as shortcuts through parks and buildings. Finally the handset includes a built-in 2.0-megapixel camera, MP3 player and FM radio tuner, high-speed HSDPA Internet and Bluetooth technology.

While the Nuron's sales have been brisk, the iPhone is, as of yet, in no danger of being overthrown.
