Music lovers have another reason to celebrate as Nokia's unleashed its latest handset, the 5610 XpressMusic; a compact slider with external music controls.
This new unit is designed with a slider key to access music with a flick of the thumb and delivers clear sound quality, up to 22 hours of music playback and a memory capacity for up to 3,000 songs on an optional 4GB microSD card.
User interface takes place via a 2.2-inch, 16.7 million-color display and it also features a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual LED flash.
The Nokia 5610 XpressMusic comes with a wired stereo headset, a USB cable for side-loading music and a 2GB memory card.
Set to be released Q3, 2008. Price not yet announced.

The biggest problem to work around are blocking syscalls, mostly for I/O. A blocking syscall, like a read will only return once data is available. In a userpace thread system, this means that all the threads in a process are blocked as well. The solution is to decouple the I/O system from the way the blocking I/O. One way is to catch an I/O call before it causes a blocking syscall, issue this I/O request in a non-blocking way and suspend the Fiber, giving other Fiber a chance to run. Once the system gets a response for the I/O request, the Fiber can be scheduled again.

I don’t think that Nokia is the best cellphone, there is Erickson, Samsung among others. Only, Nokia is cheaper that Samsung and Erickson, and also have nice design. Nokia 5610 XpressMusic is really cool.
