AT&T’s latest smartphone comes from HP and wears the iPaq brand label.
Calling it the HP iPAQ Glisten, the Windows Mobile 6.5 touch-screen smartphone will be equipped with 3G world capabilities.
The Glisten will feature a large, AMOLED touch screen for brighter, more vivid colors and a QWERTY thumb board for fast and accurate messaging and email.
The handset runs Microsoft's new Windows Mobile 6.5 platform with a redesigned Start Menu, improved Internet Explorer Mobile browser with Flash support and a free service called "My Phone" which synchronizes contact data.
An internal 3.1-megapixel camera and web surfing capabilities on high-speed 3G Internet or through Wi-Fi round out the feature set. Business users should delight in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF support.
The Glisten will be available for the holidays with a $230 price tag (with a two year contract).
