MyNuMo, a mobile content community site that allows members to post and sell their own mobile content online, has launched a promotional tool called NuMoMatic. The tool automatically creates an embeddable Flash object (shown here is NuMoMatic showing my content) that displays a member's content, and includes links back so viewers can buy the content from sites other than MyNuMo.
I heard about this launch a few days ago but haven't had a chance to look at the new tools until this morning, although I've had a MyNuMo account for a while. It's certainly a good first step, and the company has taken the wise decision to ensure Myspace compatibility for the new promotional tool, however with only one option in terms of size I'm not sure how popular this tool will be amongst the wider blogging community.
Once MyNuMo release more generic promotional tools, or perhaps an API to allow members to embed their mobile content for sale in different ways, then I think the value of the site as a way of hosting and selling your own mobile content will be much enhanced.

Thank you for your comments and excellent suggestions.
You can expect enhancements on the NUMOMATIC in the next few weeks. Also, you can now link to individual content items directly.
There are currently two styles of NUMOMATIC as well.
Thanks,
William Volk

This is smart for a number of reasons. First, it seems that we’ll eventually figure out how to pay users for valuable content – while revenue sharing isn’t always a perfect fit, it’s the ideal model when a sale is taking place. SpyMedia, Fotolia, Cafepress, Lulu, Blish, Blogburst and SLBoutique are all pursuing the marketplace concept. (However, I suspect the supply is much greater than the demand. Can any of the founders comment on this?)
