Mobile Content
by tom on August 15, 2006
OK, I had to do it. I'm sitting here in my hotel room listening to a little Shiina Ringo and using an intermittent Internet connection to check up on the latest in the world of mobile when the news that IRM have secured the online and mobile rights to agatha christie.
The deal will see Interactive Rights Management exploit the content available from Agatha Christie rights holders Chorion, and will likely see clips from previous dramatic interpretations of the author's works being turned into mobile content, although for my money I'd like to see the books either sold in their entirety in digital form for reading on handsets and smartphones, or at least serialised through the mobile medium.
There is a wealth of potential content held in these rights, something obviously recognised by IRM, but let's hope it;s more than just little video clips.
