Motorola isn't about to let the iPhone and Palm Pre steal the spotlight this season and has answered with a new Droid handset with a name derived from its appetite for eating up the competition.
Calling it the Devour, the unit will come equipped with the latest version of Google's Android mobile operating system (version 2.1) and boast such goodies as a usable thumb board, a modest 3.0 mega pixel digital camera, a 3.5mm headset jack point, a digital magnetometer, and support for microSD data storage.
It is also likely to come equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, a 1420mAh battery, on-board GPS technology, and speedy online access via Verizon's EV-DO mobile broadband network
Pricing and release date info have yet to be released.
