Motorola has partnered with Microvision to add a PicoP miniature projector on a prototype phone. With this, future Motorola handsets will have a big-screen viewing experience.
According to the press release:
By projecting content displayed on the device screen onto a wall, object or even a curved surface, mobile users could easily share Websites or multimedia applications such as movies, personal videos, mobile TV, photographs and presentations with friends or business colleagues.
Some questions lingering inside my head – Will this new technology be the key to bring mobile TV and other new mobile contents to the mass market? How will competitors react?
Let's park these questions for now and monitor the progress of this new advancement.

Nice prototype. If you ever use a projector, you know it consumes a lot power and generate much heat. Unless there is a breakthrough in these 2 areas, it’s very difficult to add a projector into a tiny cell phone.

One question: How long will be battery work?
August 2nd, 2007 at 2:39 am
The idea is interesting enough, is offered by the given firm, but thus there are many questions:
– Duration of work of phone how much will change, in fact the projector should contain powerful enough light source?
– The price of such phone how much will increase?
And in general, whether it is necessary it is to phone, in fact we all equally shall not receive the qualitative image from such device.

Ringtones are sound alerts that play when your mobile phone receives an incoming call or message. Mobile phones are preloaded with a small collection of ringtones. However, due to their growing popularity, you can now download a variety of ringtones that match your personal style and preferences.
