Motorola Seeking for a Comeback

In business and war, your ultimate goal is to crush your enemy totally. In the words of the infamous strategist Niccolò Machiavelli, "the injury therefore that we do to a man must be such that we need not fear his vengeance."
Unfortunately, leading handset manufacturers must have failed to keep an eye to the waning Motorola. Now, the company is more aggressive than ever given its strong participation in the ongoing CES 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It boasts 2 new attention-grabbing, "multimedia monster" handsets - the mobile film studio Moto Z10 and a powerful music phone Rokr E8 - much to the delight of journalists/bloggers and consumers alike.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the thrust now is to focus on developing broader product line up instead of relying on its popular Razr brand. Mark McKechnie, an analyst at American Technology Research, commented:
What they're showing at [the event] is in line with the message they've been talking about, which is building out the product lineup. They're suffering from a missed product cycle, so they've been pretty clear that they're going to, over time, rebuild it. 2008 looks like a rebuilding year.Still, it will be very difficult for this rejuvenated company to regain its lost glory. But with a good start like that Nokia, Samsung and Apple must watch out.
