Walt Mossberg, a WSJ Personal Technology columnist and the man mobile carriers love to hate, is out once again to expose the wrongdoings of the US mobile industry to the general consumers.
Comparing the consumer empowerment and freedom we enjoyed in the computer or online world, Mossberg blamed the government for giving major operators so much power to deprive and limit the choices of customers. Claiming mobile phones are the computers of the future, it's about time that we adopt the same openness and competitiveness of this industry.
Although he lauds iPhone as the first mobile phone to cooperate with a mobile network yet maintain its independence, it ended up dealing with the "devil" named AT&T.
Good job, sir! Unfortunately, many mobile consumers feel the same discontent but lack the understanding about these issues. I do hope there is a massive initiative to educate the general public about what they are missing. If you ever want to create a blogging revolution against mobile carriers, I'm with you all the way
