In the first of an occasional series, we'll cover very briefly some of the week's new mobile game announcements.

Monday, 10 April
I-Play announced Inca Quest, Ricochet and Big Kahuna Reef are on their way to handsets everywhere. Ojom are bringing zombie comedy movie Shaun of the Dead to mobiles.

Tuesday, 11 April
Tetris once again topped the mobile game sales charts in the UK, followed by Sonic the hedgehog and LMA Manager. Player One announced plans to bring Davis Cup tennis to the mobile environment. Glu and iFone announced their merger.

Wednesday, 12 April
Konami announced the release of Push-It, Cubic and Ballz 3D in North America. OrangePixel struck a deal with Asia First to release BlackMetal and Dynamo Kid in China. Rockpool announced a deal to co-publish Fruitfall with THQ.

Thursday, 13 April
Gameloft announced the development of Open Season, the official game of the upcoming animated movie. THQ announced Warhammer 40,000: Glory in Death for N-Gage is in stores.

Friday, 14 April
Player One announced the release of Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker. Alten announced Moony And The Valley Of The Gems, the first in a series of one-button games. Impossible announced Sonya Winter Sports and ITC – The Intergalactic Trading Company are on the way, and Glu announced the release of a mobile version of Popcap's Insaniquarium.
