KDDI to Bring J-Coolness to US Mobile Cutsomers?
eWeek is reporting that ultra-cool Japanese mobile operator KDDI, bringer of the design-happy au mobile service, is about to launch services in the US riding on the sprint nextel network. The report says that KDDI's aim would be to serve mainly Japanese customers in the US, using CDMA.

If you aren't familiar with KDDI and au, pop over and check out what they do. KDDI delivers some of the most advanced mobile services in the world, running on the sexiest handsets available. au has been delivering music, via its Lismo! music download service, and mobile TV via its One Seg service for as long as US operators have been pondering it but doing next to nothing.
