UK terrestrial broadcaster ITV has announced a deal with 3G operator 3 that will see the television station being broadcast across 3's mobile platform. This will allow 3 customers to watch ITV1 and ITV Play in the same way they would using a normal television set.

The deal, which follows an earlier agreement that saw popular ITV shows being repackaged for delivery via 3, will be priced at 99p a day to watch ITV and 49p a day to watch ITV Play, or a monthly package for £5. What's not clear in all this is if the cost also covers data charges, or is just an access charge to the channel.
