HTC's 4G EVO Coming Soon to Sprint
Filed in archive Announcements on May 14, 2010

Sprint's getting excited and hopes its customers are too for HTC's forthcoming EVO, which will be the first smartphone to run on the carrier's high-speed fourth-generation network (4G).
The Evo will boast speeds of 3 to 6 megabits a second, up to 10 times faster than traditional 3G networks using next-generation WiMax technology, run by partner Clearwire.
Spec wise we're talking about a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, runs on Google's Android 2.1 software, a 4.3-inch touch screen, which is 30 percent larger than the display on the iPhone, with Pinch-to-zoom functionality and automatic text reflowing.
Perhaps most exciting is that it will also support two-way video chatting using two cameras (an 8.1-megapixel unit and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one). It also features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and integrates an HDMI port to watch high-definition videos on television.
The HTC EVO 4G goes on sale June 4 for $199.

the 4g part is kind of useless to everyone if you dont live in the city, let alone one of the cities on the list. when will that be available everywhere? i read its an absolute 4g phone, so does that mean i wont be able to connect to anything?? not even 3g??
