HTC Bringing TouchPro2 to T-Mobile

T-Mobile and HTC are getting set to release the Touch Pro2; a touch screen smartphone with conference speakerphone technology.

One of the main draws of the TouchPro2 is that by flipping it over, it becomes a sophisticated speakerphone not unlike those found in corporate boardrooms.

The handset uses "Straight Talk" technology to deliver high-fidelity sound enhanced by asymmetric speakers and advanced noise suppression with full-duplex acoustics.

Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, users can view, edit and update Microsoft documents, access calendars and manage to-do lists.

The Touch Pro2 also has a 3.6-inch touch screen, sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus, Bluetooth wireless technology, Wi-Fi for fast Internet and built-in GPS and location-based services.

The HTC Touch Pro2 will be available on August 12 in retail stores and online, hot on the heels of October's HTC HD2 release.
