Hello, Government, Says Moto

Hello, Government, Says Moto

Calling all you sexy government people. Put your hands in the air. In the US, at least. Cingular has launched Motorola's L2, a stripped-down SLVR (or what Cingular calls "SLVR-like")that loses the camera and music player, for government and corporate buyers. According to the the big orange jumping jack:

"Cingular is pleased to satisfy the yearnings of corporate America for a Motorola SLVR-like device that adheres to stringent workplace policies," said Michael Woodward, executive director, mobile professional solutions, for Cingular Wireless. "Now, most business and government employees can have access to a great voice-centric device with the latest in executive style for wireless at a price that does not require them to be in the executive suite."

The handset will be available at $116.99 with a 2-year contract.

But does anyone really yearn for policies to be adhered to? And will it come in pink, for those ladies down at the department of motor vehicles?
