Indeed, the presses have been humming this week with "leaked" word of a handset from Google. According to one wag, it's just what we need now that Apple has finally outed the iPhone, leaving us nothing to create fake pictures of in Photoshop. Hardware wise, I mean.

At any rate, Google's director general in Spain and Portugal, Isabel Aguilera, reportedly let the gato out of the bolso last week saying that Google engineers are working on a mobile phone of some sort. Further information indicated that the big G also plans to use context-sensitive search as one of the fictional handset's killer apps - meaning it can return search information based on the user's location, previous searches, communication patterns and such.

So, let the Gphone watch begin!
