Google is being acquisitive again, this time buying GrandCentral Communications, a company that provides a single number that can be routed to any phone, effectively allowing people to have only one number, regardless of device or location.
"GrandCentral's technology fits well into Google's efforts to provide services that enhance the collaborative exchange of information between our users," said Google, which is based in Mountain View, Calif.Via Textually.org and The New York Times.
