Google and Nokia to Cooperate on Revamped 770 WiFi Tablet

According to the San Jose Business Journal, Google and Nokia are partnering to make the already existing Nokia 770 Internet tablet "Googleized", loading it with a Google-designed browser and a version of GoogleTalk. Few details are available at the moment, but the Wall Street Journal, which is also running the story, the upgraded device will retail for around $390. Which is strange because the current 770 retails for about $350 and Google usually gives software away. I am not sure what other mods are being made to the device to relaunch it with the Google imprimatur, but they better be good for $40. This may revive my interest in the 770.

UPDATE: The device was released this morning in Stockholm at VON Europe. More info and a webcast can be found here.
