
Italian vehicle manufacturer Fiat is set to launch a branded handset. According to ItaliaSpeed, the first of the handsets are due for release this month.
Fiat Auto has in recent years extended its famous branding to a variety of leisure goods which are exclusively available in certain upmarket boutiques and outlets. Recent products have included jackets, fleeces, shoes and skiwear, all of which have been introduced in conjunction with respected companies already operating in their relevant sector. Mobile phones have become the must-have fashion accessory of this decade and Fiat hope to tap into the surging demand for distinctive and stylish phones to promote their image.The new Fiat-branded range of mobile phones are proudly emblazoned with the Fiat logo in finished in the traditional dark blue colours of the historic brand and bodied in a simple 'cold' aluminium. They are embedded with the latest technology including internet browsing, music (MP3) playback, email, digital camera and video, photo albums and Bluetooth.

Fiat have already invested in rolling Bluetooth capability across their auto range and a new integrated service, Blue&Me, developed in partnership with Microsoft was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
