Verizon Wireless Hopeline
A project committed to prevent domestic violence and raise awareness of the issue. Hopeline works by turning unused wireless phones into support for victims of domestic violence.
Recently, this phone recycling program has donated more than 100 wireless phones and free airtime to Manhattan-based Sanctuary for Families and Safe Horizon, two non-profit agencies providing life-saving services to victims of domestic violence and their families.

GrandCentral's Project CARE (Communications and Respect for Everybody) Program
Recently acquired by Google, startup VoIP company GrandCentral provides, free of charge, a local phone number and voicemail box to members of the homeless community in San Francisco. We hope to extend this program nationwide as we build out our services. Recently, Google decided to expand this program nationally.

As Spider-Man adequately put, with great power comes great responsibility. Let's hope these guys will continue to do their share to the community and hopefully expand their participation in the years to come.
