Think nothing good comes out spending all your time on your cell phone? One new company thinks heavy phone users should be rewarded for their tireless efforts.
Palo Alto Texas firm Embee is about to release a service to allow mobile phone users to earn prepaid minutes by participating in incentive based marketing programs. It works just like "frequent flyer" programs with most airlines. Once they activate their Embee Mobile account, users can click on the applications "Paycheck" tab to complete third party offers and surveys, shop at online retailers, watch movie trailers and product commercials.
Once they have accrued a certain level of Embee Mobile credits, users can redeem those credits for real prepaid mobile minutes. Embee Mobile currently works with 30 U.S. prepaid mobile operators, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, Virgin, and others.
