eBay Says Mobile Phone Holiday Shopping Tripled
If anyone doubts the reality that cellular phones are finally fulfilling the promise of being truly converged devices, consider this: In the period from the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) until Christmas Eve, eBay reports that cell phones were used to purchase some 1.5 million products- three times the number for the same period last year.

According to eBay some 6-million consumers have eBay apps on their mobile phones and users completed more than $500 million worth of transactions on mobile phones this year alone.

eBay also says that their busiest day of the entire year was Sunday, December 13 where 2.3 million transactions in the United States alone were processed.
