This new handset from NEC, the NEC908 takes the current prize as smallest handset I've seen. The new device, which is the same size as a credit card (although thicker of course) and doesn't have a keypad, relying on the large touch screen for number entry instead.

The handset also supports media playback, with the ability to play MP3, AAC, AAC+, 3gplinks and MPEG4 files, a microSD slot for memory expansion, Bluetooth, a 1.3megapixel camera and stereo speakers.

The N908 is set for release in Asian countries in Quarter 3, with no announced plans for a release in Europe of the US, which is a real shame - this one might just knock the Xcute S500 from the top of my most wanted handset list.
