This new handset from NEC, the NEC908 takes the current prize as smallest handset I've seen. The new device, which is the same size as a credit card (although thicker of course) and doesn't have a keypad, relying on the large touch screen for number entry instead.
The handset also supports media playback, with the ability to play MP3, AAC, AAC+, 3gp and MPEG4 files, a microSD slot for memory expansion, Bluetooth, a 1.3megapixel camera and stereo speakers.
The N908 is set for release in Asian countries in Quarter 3, with no announced plans for a release in Europe of the US, which is a real shame – this one might just knock the Xcute S500 from the top of my most wanted handset list.

A really nice looking handset, i imagine it wont weigh very much at all, a pity there is no talk of releasing it outside of Asia but the future may suprise us, hopefully.

Its beautiful and hopefully is the way things are to come. Slick and doesn’t look like your average mobile phone.
