Cellphone for HIV/AIDS

According to AllAfrica.com, this non-profit organization "has already developed cellphone technology to help health-care workers to monitor HIV patients and devised an electronic tracking system for anti-HIV medication dispensed by hospitals and clinics."
It also plans to provide free information about HIV via text messages, video, Mobile Games
, and voice messages in the near future. The strategy of blending technology with social work is very appropriate for a country notorious for this disease (5.5 million people) and for its fondness in using mobile phones.Permalink: Cellphone for HIV/AIDS
