Speaking like a true bully, AT&T Mobility Chief CEO & President Ralph de la Vega downplays Google's plan to enter the wireless arena when he said, "Running a wireless network is a capital-intensive business. It's not a business for the faint of heart."
He believes the current business model of the Mountain View, Calif.-based search giant is very different from its wireless model.
I say it's very true, the current wireless model is inefficient and without much regard to mobile consumers. If I could be more direct - it sucks.

On the other hand, Google's goal of making the wireless industry more open and competitive can result to better mobile experience and arguably lower cost.
Maybe it's time to remind de la Vega of a simple quote from neil armstrong:

Well, I think we tried very hard not to be overconfident, because when you get overconfident, that's when something snaps up and bites you.If it's any consolation, AT&T is willing to adopt the Android OS only if there is a strong demand from its customers.
